I really really like this boy but there is no way im going to aks him out and i need help what to do?

k so there is this guy in my gym cl who is soooo totally cute and i really like him, he can be a jerk some times but it's more funny than mean. and anyways im like 5'7 and he is like 5'3 so it's kinda weird but he is sssoo cute!! I can't ask him out cuz i don't wanna get turned downed by him and if he turned me down everyone in school would know because he has a big mouth and tells his guy friends like everything!!!! so im not sure what to do about it.... should i just move on?
