AWD AUDI got towed by its rear wheels after guy crashed into it?

Being All wheel drive wont towing it on 2 wheels mess up drive shafts? its an automatic he did drop it in neutral .. i no when i had road side ist. come they asked if it is RWD FWD OR AWD.. honestly i think the tow driver is an idiot but i might be wrong.. any body got a clue if its ok to take the AWD by its rear wheels?
